Yellow

By: meryem ozgun

Yellow is the sunset saying bye

Or maybe the loud, thundering lightning in the sky.

Yellow is the amber water lilies waiting for the sun to set

Yellow is the cheese dripping from your toast

Yellow is the color of your friendly neighborhood ghost.

Yellow is the long neck of a giraffe

And a friendly smile with a laugh.

Yellow is the color in your dream

Which has a huge fountain of cream.

Yellow is the butterfly still not ready to die

Or your friend that served you a pie.

Yellow is the stars turning bright as the sun

Yellow is the laughter of fun

And yellow is the color that can turn your lemons into lemonade

Or maybe the color that can help you stop being afraid.

Yellow is the hungry lion waiting for a feast

With a huge growl from the beast.

Yellow is the sun shine not ready to set

Yellow is the girl that got a new pet .

Yellow is the girl who went for a run

Yellow is the color that toasts your buns.

Yellow is the super bright sun waiting for stars to glow

And a caw caw from the crow .

Yellow is the sunflower blooming in the breeze

And a buzz from the busy bees.
