My neighbour collected rain in labelled jars.

Monday Rain was pale and quiet. Thunderstorm Rain seemed darker. Birthday Rain had a silver ribbon around it.

“What will you do with them?” I asked.

“Open them during dry days,” she said.

I was not sure whether she meant the water or the memories.
