Everyone believed the library closed at six because the librarian needed to go home.
Actually, it closed because the dragon woke at six fifteen.
He lived behind the history shelves and ate only unfinished stories. Every night, he searched abandoned notebooks for missing endings.
That was why I had to return before sunset.
My story still ended with: “And then the door opened…”
