The Lemon Tree

Our lemon tree grows beside the wall. Its branches lean into the neighbour’s garden.

When the fruit ripens, we collect the lemons from our side. Our neighbour collects the others.

Then both families make lemonade and share it through the gate.

The tree belongs to nobody and everybody.
