Mr. Lewis waits when he sees someone running.

Even when traffic piles behind him, even when the doors should already be closed, he waits.

Most people climb aboard without saying thank you.

Yesterday, I asked why he still did it.

He shrugged. “Everybody has days when they need the bus to wait.”
