SPAIN13SHORT STORY

Ana

A violinist plays between two stations. His music rises above the wheels, the announcements, and the tired conversations.

Nobody looks directly at him.

Still, a little girl begins to dance while holding her father’s hand.

The doors open.

For the rest of the day, I carry the song somewhere behind my ribs.
