Double Dip
by Sristi Guduru
I’d let you double dip
Your germs in my queso and salsa
Won’t scare me from dipping my chips in
I’d let you double dip
Like when you dip me when we dance
I trust you; you never let me fall
You ground me.
I’d let you double dip
You’re honey, dipped into my oats
You’re sugar sweet;
You satisfy my sweet tooth
I’d let you double dip
Savor you like churros dipped in chocolate
It’s messy, what I feel
Dripping, lingering, impossible to ignore.
I’d let you double dip
Like when you dip into my heart
I’m scared, but your home is there,
Nowhere else.
So go ahead; double dip,
I’ll share my chips with you.
