Every morning, Mr. Dube stands at the bus stop before the sun rises. He wears the same brown jacket and greets every student by name.
Yesterday, I asked why he came so early.
“My house is too quiet now,” he said.
This morning, I arrived ten minutes early and stood beside him.
We did not talk much, but the silence felt less empty.
