Before sunrise, the city is almost gentle.

Shop shutters remain closed. Rickshaws wait in rows. The air has not yet filled with horns, footsteps, heat, and hurry.

Then the first call to prayer rises.

Windows brighten one by one,
and the day remembers its name.
